the show has numerous issues but I don't think this is one of them. the cops didn't know of the ladder and bunker under the floor tile, only the scientists and cleaning ladies did, neither of which were going to tell them for obvious reasons. as for other areas of the station, it was shown that they wore gloves during the confrontation.
Really surprised sepinwall feels it “stuck the landing” Again I personally really enjoyed it but definitely didn’t stick anything lol
I like Sepinwall but him saying Monsieur Spade was a total dud and Night Country has been consistently amazing was totally bewildering to me. I thought this series had some great atmospheric direction and that’s it. From a plotting and character development perspective it was one of the most inept prestige tv series I’ve ever watched/finished.
I thought through the first 5 episodes is was a fine detective show. Nothing great but entertaining. The last episode was dogshit and I’d now rank the seasons 1 > 3 > 2 > 4
the watch’s coverage has been the only thing that seems to not be written/recorded by someone with their head up their own ass
I would have too until I rewatched it a few weeks ago. The overall plot is decent just the writing and dialogue is so bad.
I’m trying to think of a worse season of TV I watched in full than TD 2 and I honestly can’t think of one, maybe Community season 4? I’m sure I’m forgetting something (else) I loved the first season of that went to complete shit, but I’ve got nothing right now. As far as finales go, I thought the season 1 finale objectively brought the season as a whole down in a way this one didn’t. Maybe that’s just that season 1 was an A for 6 or 7 episodes and this was like a C-.
My wife and I enjoyed the finale. I told her most people online didn’t like it and she said pretty much this tweet. It’s a repeat of The Marvels (and probably Madame Web now). We still have a long way to go.
My gf, friend’s wife and his sister in law watched the finale with me and they hated it more than I did. I will let them know they are wrong.
I think that is true for a lot of entertainment but not sure it is here. The only reason I stuck with it is cause of Jodie and Kali. If it was any other bozos and the same story I prob woulda jumped ship
Re: the end, I think Danvers and her step daughter just drove out to visit Navarro whereever it is she’s living now. Like to me that looked like some cabin out in the middle of nowhere, I assume she’s doing the nomad thing like the Oliver dude and his people were doing speaking of which, getting no resolution on that and his role is annoying too haha. Why was he so pissed off finding out the scientists died? I guess he knew how close they were?
one of the pods i listen to floated the idea that that's been danvers' house the whole time and the water the property was on was just frozen the whole time which i guess is possible lol
the idea that people can only hate this or Madame Web because they're raging misogynists and not because those things are genuinely terribly written/directed/edited etc is so wildly disingenuous
