Interesting premier, but I thought it was a bit disjointed. All the jumping around to different characters I know will prove important later, but just felt like a weird way to introduce everyone.
I thought it was an intriguing start to the story. My anticipation was high and while it didn’t let me down, it didn’t really exceed expectations. The show is typically a slow-burn so I expect it to really start hitting around episodes 3-4.
They need to refrain from doing so much bad animal cgi. Good premier! The jumping around is common for a mystery show like this imo and doesn’t bother me. There’s gonna be a lot of characters and angles this season I can tell from the preview at the end. Very interested to see how the supernatural element takes shape. Also I immediately got The Thing vibes and they even had a copy right there in the entertainment room at the lab lol
didn't know Fiona Shaw was in this hell yeah the scares in this feel very generic so far though, in that base scene
I enjoyed it well enough. some really bad dialogue tho lol. was hoping Pizzo not writing it would lead to well... better writing this time
Pretty cool premiere. CGI was rough. Felt slightly sloppily executed at times but I’m intrigued. Jodie is great.
I will say, it’s funny how we’re all posting our thoughts on the first episode like it’s at all indicative of what’s to come. Can’t really judge it yet bc it’s only the opening. Based on reviews, I have hope that the full season will be satisfying.
I know! It's crazy to have a discussion about a tv show after a big debut. Even crazier that we have different opinions.
S1 premiere is an amazing episode of TV, can't say the same for this one although it did have a better set up for a mystery than the last 2 seasons. Maybe it's just the setting but it reminds me a lot of Dexter New Blood haha
