This leaked earlier today (it's been out in Japan for a number of hours) so I decided to listen. I really enjoy it. I think folks who enjoyed their last album will probably enjoy this one too.

This is fantastic. It brings me joy in a stressful time. The way the album opens up, the way it flows, the ways in which it is a little different yet still very much recognizably Tricot.

 

This is one of the most consistent bands ever. Always fresh, always exciting. And they were the nicest people the one time I got to see them in Seattle. I have just one request for them... PRESS PITCH BLACK AND 10 ON VINYL PLEASE.

 

damn. pitch black kind of consolidated everything they were good at into a consistent whole, and this record is like the inverse of that, a collection of bonkers outré genre experiments and song structures that SOMEHOW STILL WORK. i may like this one more

first time listening to this band - checked out a few songs from this and really dug them! I'll need to go through and give them a real listen soon

 

Their discography is pretty much flawless, imo

tricot have become my #1 band to listen to while working. it helps that I'm not distracted by lyrics and I can just ~vibe~

This band is unstoppable. I really love the grunge guitar tones and even some Fall of Troy-esque influence on the guitars in the verse? New stuff for them but Ikkyu still has the incredible chorus. Bass work on this is particularly good too.
