Im not mad about it, always enjoyed Kanye pre-Nazi sympathy…give me that production with a decent flow and I’m happy.

 

most of the features delivered for me but the 21 Savage ones did feel a bit phoned in

 

Oh same, while it doesn’t reach the heights of the Kanye projects he’s clearly chasing here it’s still a good album

 

Just got to Circus Maximus…this is def Black Skinhead Pt.2

 

I believe "Good Morning" and "Famous" drums were also used on tracks on the album (can't remember which)

 

It’s literally the beat/instrumental for Over There

it’s the one featuring JV

 

he produced on a few songs on that album lol

 

Album rules. Super experimental in the right ways. Great features.

 

This is alright, not sure it was worth a five year wait but I’m liking it that said.

 

I Know is really good

 

It didn’t hit me immediately like astroworld did but it’s a good album. I still wish it was a bit shorter. It’s the same complaint I had for astroworld where I think I cut a few songs and keep it at like 15.

 

Yeah the highs are pretty high here but there are some tracks i really cant get into

 

On my second listen through…there’s an incredible 10 song record here.

 

Man modern jam goes wild, came on during my workout and it has given me life

 

I had to look at the credits immediately, those drums are absolutely daft punk produced…and yep, Guy did them.

 

Telekinesis is such a good song

 

For 19 tracks, have to say the song variety is pretty high. It gets credit in that aspect from me, some of these 19 song albums end up with a lot of clumping of similarly sounding songs.

 

If I pretend hard enough I almost feel like Delresto could be off renaissance

I like the production better on this than Astroworld, but still meh on the whole thing.

 

Sonically I think I love this, tons of variety and takes some risks in trying to be "different" but beyond that there is just something missing that I can't quite but my finger on right now.

 

That is not what I gathered from a lot of reading Friday morning (granted I did not read the police report) but yeah there was absolutely a failure of communication (intentional or not) on several levels that is still extremely upsetting to read and out a pretty big damper on my first listen. The way that kind of tone-deafness (to put it lightly) extended through the way he chose to address it (and totally avoid it here) is... fascinating.
