I did not expect to sit here and watch this whole thing. I forgot they closed Astroworld.

Anyway I haven't heard this guy, I'm behind the times

 

Defunctland is the best online series just because I love learning the history behind so many theme parks/rides. Astroworld is something I always ask my friends in Houston about.

 

When I was 10 all I cared about was roller coasters. I can probably still name over a dozen types of inversions and countless rides ive never been on

 

I know I went there a couple times as a kid. We went to SF Over Texas all the time and I still do, and I've been to Fiesta Texas a bunch of times. A little bummed I can't go on any of these rides anymore though

 

I was thinking this was ether getting a 7 or 7.5 and glad to see I was close

Helllllllllllllll no. It honestly has grown on me a tad after reading the lyrics and appreciating the flows more, but no way

 

I’m gonna argue with you about the inarguability! It’s not debatable!

For real though, really want Travis to mix up his Rodeo “bangers” with Astroworlds sensibilities. That album would be inarguable for real

 

Thanks for the inadvertent rec. I've never heard of this series and can't wait to go home and watch all of these videos.


EDIT: Now also dying to pick up Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 on my way home.

 

I just read that they have a mobile version that's supposed to be pretty solid as well!

 

Defunctland and Yesterworld Entertaimment are my two favorite theme park series.

 

Rodeo > Astroworld > Days Before Rodeo > Birds imo

never heard Owl Pharaoh

 

Never been big on Travis but this is okay with a few pretty good songs.

 

Love Coffee Bean, would be a mean 10 track album with that and the first 9 tracks

 

Astrothunder, Yosemite, and Can’t Say are pretty flawless

Just realized I never shared my opinion in here (I know you were all waiting with bated breath)


I think the first half is absolutely incredible, possibly his best collection of songs yet, but the second half is noticeably a lot weaker and drops this below Rodeo for me. If the whole thing was as good as the first 9 or 10 songs I think this WOULD be inarguably his best lol. Sicko Mode, Carousel, and Stop Trying to Be God are fantastic

 

Can’t Say is up there as one of his bests too, more for Don Toliver than anything else tho

 

I don't like the repetition of Can't Say, it just comes off as really uncreative to me.

 

Sicko Mode projected to be #4 on the top 100 charts. Stargazing at #7.

 

It's wild because I never really remembered anything from rodeo but then I check the blogosphere and forums and it's like crazy loved there and I'm like ???

 

Rodeo is where the hits are at
