When did it become so commonplace to call albums, "projects" - I don't get it.

 

because so many releases these days are EPs, mixtapes, playlists, or whatever the hell an artist wants to call it... "project" encompasses everything.

 

Also what would even bother someone about calling something a project

 

Makes me think of school.

 

Well I needed “substances” to enjoy this more eh

 

But for real this is much better the second time around, really paying attention to it

 

Well the album overall is mediocre. It's has 3 to 4 good songs on it, one of which being the trailer song "stargazing". To me it definitely does not live up to all the hype and wait that was connected with this album. Disappointed.

 

This is definitely better than Birds but absolutely pales to Rodeo. Some great ideas but lazy execution, only 4-5 full songs really come together

 

i don't hear how this is any better than birds. i'd say the highs of birds are actually better than the highs of this.

 

I think it's better because it is slightly less complacent and I like the more psychedelic elements on here compared to the dance hall stuff on birds.

Can also say now I think DBR is also much better than this

 

Yeah so this album is absolutely riveting theough NC-17, and then comes to an absolute halt. It starts off like a “progressive” version of trap, then just rides in the pocket too much

 

Stop trying to be god -> wake up might be his best run for me

And he sample/interpolation for 5% tint is absolutely insane

 

Never thought I'd see there day where Travis got a BNT.

Went to an album listening party he threw tonight in Houston and it was chaotic.

 

I want to know a more detailed description if you ever get the time lol

 

So they pretty much had it set up inside the venue like a theme park/circus, think of pretty much the night time cover plus add some creepy costumes that people were dressed up in.

He came out and performed parts of songs up until NC-17 then he kinda just sat on stage and jumped around and got hyped with the crowd. Wasn’t a full fledged concert. Kylie, Don Toliver(feature on Can’t Say), and a few others were there with him.

His crowds are probably the rowdiest crowds I’ve ever seen, seen him 16 times and this listening party had to be up there as the rowdiest.

There were prop barrels that were probably 30-40 pounds that were around the venue and someone got too amped during Sicko Mode and threw it and it nailed this kid in the head and he was bleeding all over the place but got his head wrapped up and seemed to be fine after that.

 

I was all excited thinking this whole promotion was about Astroworld the theme park but it's more like ASTROworld smh.

 

What's the difference?
