if it’s produced like ‘one more time’ count me out.

travis is not a great producer. i might be an outlier here but man, i didn’t like the production on the latest blink album. the vocals seemed absolutely muffled and fuzzy.

fwiw, i am stoked for a new yellowcard album though.

Vocals on OMT muffled and fuzzy? The album had pretty much flawless production.

Funny, why doesn’t Tom ever do any features on other musicians music? He would be a treat

Amy Shark’s album from last year featured him on one of the songs

The only production item from OMT that I noticed was the drums are so high in the mix. But maybe that’s just me. Other than that it’s pretty good.

This is killing me. Definitely the best reply to have, especially being involved in the project.

Time to listen to Paper Walls.

Because his production isn't historically great. Loved the latest Blink album from a song writing perspective, but the production just wasn't good. Am i jazzed that he is playing drums? Oh hell yes.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

That's going to be great for a YC album tho haha
I'm most interested to see how Travis handles the live orchestral/violin stuff, since that seems like somewhat new territory for him!

I remember travis posting a pic on IG or snap last year of him and Ryan in the studio and was wondering what would come of that

  17. I’m just suggesting maybe listen to the record before posting negative shit about it. But you do you if it makes you feel good.

  18. Surprised no one mentioned the possibility of Tom and Mark featuring on the album... I may be a delusional fan but no one can stop me from believing in my dreams!

    Might be Spider-Man...

No offense to their touring drummer, but if you can get Travis Barker, you have him play drums. End.

Travis, and LP are easily the best of the 00's pop punk drummers. I'd bet money this pair fits like a glove.

I just find it hilarious that we are at a point where we get news that the world's most legendary drummer from the most legendary pop-punk band not only drums on, but also produces, another legendary pop-punk band's new comeback album and the initial reaction from some people is "the production is going to suck!!!".

I mean, even I'm guilty of this. But the moment I realized how ridiculous and pessimistic I sounded was the moment I started enjoying things like this a lot more.

Anyways, I seriously hope there are some blink and YC shows or, better yet, a tour that is born out of this relationship. I would drop so much money to see blink and YC together.

    Wiping brings down the rainforest

This sounds like a match made in Heaven. This is easily one of my most anticipated albums coming out in .... ? and that was even before Travis was playing on it. If anyone can bring LP energy it's Travis. Hype :-)

Travis' studio setup is as sick as you'd expect. It's really cool to see just how deep his passion and talent run. I like seeing how the sausage is made.

For real. This is everything I’ve ever wanted in a band.

I am happy they can create again. Childhood Eyes, and Hiding in the Light in particular, is easily one of my favorite songs since the pandemic hit.

I'm in love with the ordinary

I loved the fuck outta the new Blink record, can't say I noticed anything bad about the production either, to be fair. Travis did a great job!

As far as this news, I'm stoked! The Childhood Eyes EP was superb and the reworked songs album they did with Hammock was full of awesome new renditions of their songs. I've loved everything they've done since coming back again. I know it sounds dumb but I'll always be here for this band. Mostly because they are one of the few bands that has always been there for me, whenever I've needed them the most.
