This didn't happen. And by this, I mean all of it. No states "Defunded their police", and cities run by extremely NOT defund the police types, aka Republican Mayors and DA's, also saw crime rise. Turns out the mass death event that crippled millions more and still going that folks here in the thread are downplaying , tends to result in the type of societal stress and unrest that increases crime regardless of how many hundreds of millions you throw at completely inept police forces.
