  1. Bowing out now so I can maybe catch this with Cuckoo next week. Hope everyone has fun! I'm rooting for this one even if Old sticks out in my memory like a sore thumb.

Personally, I think Trap continues M. Night's heater of a run in the 2020s. No bad movies yet this decade.

Anyone that says "What a tweest" or Shamalamadingdong has the worst sense of humor of all time.

The response to Shyamalan reminds me a lot of how people try to dunk on Nicolas Cage because they confuse doing things differently with being bad.

That Robot Chicken sketch did so much damage. Shyamalan has made some bad movies (which again, it's all subjective so sure there's probably people out there defending The Last Airbender - After Earth run) but I think every single one of his movies every choice is made with intentionality. You may not like the choices (and there lots of choices) but there is intention behind what he is doing. I'm there opening night for whatever he makes even if I hate it

Excited to see this tonight (930). I still stand by my earlier comments that as a director, he has approved some questionable performances that are just objectively poor, but I always appreciate his imagination and his craftsmanship behind the camera. Based on the setting for this movie, I'm expecting some really cool, creative shots and a good, tense, fun, but probably pretty goofy and far fetched time.

How in the world do the feds, local police, and security teams do alllllll that in the arena and then Lady Raven is able to cruise out by herself and just a driver in the limo to a nearby development for like an hour without anyone tracking her down asap

I mean I know the focus at that point was on any dudes leaving the arena but still

Just want to be sure in case I missed it, the Butcher and his daughter went to the first concert of Lady Raven shows that day, right?

  15. I thought this too - that concert had to have been at like 2:00pm right?

That’s what I was thinking, but Kid Cudi is I guess just jetting back to LA before the second show and Lady Raven has time to … do what she does. It’s insane!

My biggest problem with this is why the fuck was the concert in the middle of the day lol. Didn’t even see a plot reason for that, they could have just had the 2nd half of the movie all be at night?

I was along for the ride the whole time though and had a blast with this overall.

That is where I think there is at least a little bit of a racism angle. A lot of people talk about his movies like he unintentionally failed at writing realistic dialogue or something like that. He is in complete control of what is happening in his movies. If you don't like it that is fine but it isn't some Indian who doesn't know what he is doing.

The daughter said the first show sold out so quick that Lady Raven added a second show.

I should go see this this weekend but I really don't need popcorn and soda and cookie dough bites right now.

I loved how alien everything felt, that classic matinee pop show with an intermission and multiple guest stars where you get parking right away and wave to Lady Raven while she enters the stadium

whoever cast Riley A+ that girl looked like you smooshed together Alison Pill and Josh Hartnett
