Damn. Tim was probably the only reason I ever went back and listened to this band. Listen & Forgive was huge for me when it came out. RIP
Man, listening to Listen and Forgive right now. To me, this band took the twinkly guitar work of emo and wrapped it around standard pop punk. I ate this up. Still a great album. Also it's crazy that they got Patrick Stump on here.
It’s looks like there may be a little Tim cover/tribute EP in the works. So far I’ve seen a vid of Zac from man o drumming for the world @ the Lumber Yard & Dan rose recording skipping stone
I've never listened to this band until recently and came here to say the guy sounds like John Mulaney singing.
The Story So Far was apparently recording their cover recently. That's all I've heard/seen about anything though.
I know joyride gets a lot of disrespect from you hooligans but I was listening to it the other day and I'll be damned if it isn't one of the catchiest collections of summer pop punk on this side of the genre.
Just discovered Torre from Transit has a new band called bloom. Pretty good stuff. withered, by bloom.
It's officially fall in Michigan so I threw on Joyride today on the way to work...such a fun album. Transit is fully a fall band for me.
I think I'll never find a way to prove or disprove this memory of mine. When they were doing the very initial promo for Joyride, the YouTube clip of Rest To Get Better that previewed the chorus had way different guitar parts with very Tim-esque guitar leads. Never heard it after that video and can't find any proof of it anywhere. But by god, I swear it happened.
I think it was a live version. I remember watching a live version of the song with Tim. Cant find anything on youtube now.
