saw ROTB the other day. it's so-so. aside from a few scenes, my theater didn't seem that excited for it. pete davidson as mirage has his moments, but i wish dominique fishback's character had a more to do than mostly looking weirded out by everything going around her

unquestionably superior to all the bayformers, so if you got a higher threshold for that bullshit, you'll likely enjoy this more than i did

 

however, nearly everyone went nuts over gi joe being teased near the end of the film. like why did THAT have the biggest reaction? (rhetorical question)

 

I was semi interested because I enjoyed “Bumblebee,” but the weak reviews and it being 2+ hours long have me thinking that likely won’t happen.

 

Holy shit. I don't even watch the films anymore and that's interesting.

 

I kinda loved this. Had a big ass grin on my face through a lot of it. The big end battle was so much fun, and that tease at the end caught me off guard but was pretty cool.

 

Was there a teaser for a new “Cloverfield” movie?

 

I kept waiting but none sadly.

So, the talk that the new Transformers teases a GI Joe connection is true? Huh. Funny enough, next Wednesday sees the release of Robert Kirkman’s Void Rivals #1, which is supposed to “secretly” launch a new Hasbro comic universe. Can’t wait for speculators to buy that up and list it online for unreasonable prices.

Maybe I should finally pick up some of Tom Scioli’s Transformers GI Joe comics.
