just flipped the channel to age of extinction so my eyes can witness wahlberg using another car door to bust the lid off a bud light. like, even the the street is crawling with those bottles. that’s honestly hysterical
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr. and is a progression in the Transformers timeline, placing it after Bumblebee but before the Michael Bay films. Rise of the Beasts will also take place in 1994 New York City.
Okay as a massive Beast Wars (and I’ll just barely stomach Beast Machines) fan, it’s totally awesome to see Optimus Primal, Cheetor, etc., but also I kind of wish they’d just make a straight up Beast Wars adaptation set on Earth millions of years in the past like the show. It was my favorite Transformers series growing up because I loved the heavily serialized narrative and dark tone and that it didn’t need boring humans.
Rewatched the first two in addition to 3 and 4. Dark Side of the Moon genuinely whips ass, Revenge of the Fallen is one of the worst films I've ever seen lol. Still need to watch The Last Knight and Bumblebee
It's been a long time since I've seen the first three, but I do remember really enjoying 3 and thinking it had some interesting ideas going on. 2, on the other hand, still infuriates me because of what I consider a massive plot hole that only serves to extend the film's runtime. Like, they need to revive Optimus, right? So they use something to revive an old Transformer so he can then tell them where to find something to revive Optimus... except why didn't they just use the first thing to revive Optimus from the start? Makes no fucking sense.
