Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (novel) - Wikipedia "Jar Jar Binks' dialogue is considered to be just as hard to read as it is to listen to."
There was a time a few years ago where I sought out movie novelizations at used book stores and antique book shows. I bought and read Halloween, Terminator, Alien, Gremlins, and Marathon Man. But also as a kid I remember they would sell family movie novels like Dick Tracy and Home Alone 2 in our Scholastic catalogs
Home Alone 2 novelization opens with the Wet Bandits scheming their way out of prison or something, and that used to confuse the fuck outta me at 8 years old. I don’t even think I bothered reading past that because I was so confused at which version I had on VHS.
iirc the Home Alone 2 Game Boy game had them breaking out of jail in the opening sequence and calling their criminal friend letting him know they're coming down to NYC
That surprises me. It shouldn't, clearly. I knew there was hype for it, but I didn't think it was that much. I love keeping up with box office predictions/numbers, haha
One of my earliest memories is seeing Dick Tracy in the theater as a family and my older brother falling out of a tree and breaking his arm within 10 minutes of being home. This meant we couldn’t go to the amusement park like we had been planning to the next day. But yes, I’m old too.
