  9. Never heard of this venue but based on the comments they got Rainer Maria, which means I’m going.

It just opened I believe in 2023 or 2024. It was an old run down theater but then Chance the Rapper and Jennifer Hudson pitched in to revitalize it and now they do shows.

The Cleveland location was a literal dump. But they hosted some big acts over the past two years.

Weren’t they trying to build a hotel on the property too? Did that ever happen? I remember my brother telling me they sunk a bunch a money into the space to repaint and update things and remember him mentioning them trying to make it a destination.

I can’t imagine. It’s true that they put a ton of money into the actual venue, but the venue was also in the middle of nowhere (in terms of city life). Literally every time I went there I parked at a convenient store across the street. A hotel nearby would have had no shot at success. There was nothing around the venue to draw any sort of interest from people.

Masonic Auditorium Poised for $8 Million Facelift Thanks to Owner Temple Live

I found this one - seems they had big plans.

I looked it up on a map and it’s down the street from Agora (and looks a lot like the Agora Ballroom). I can’t imagine it doing well, I remember that whole area being random warehouses and self storage spots.

    Bring back the Odeon!

The Agora is a great venue, but also in a not so great area with nothing around it. Agora is heads and shoulders better than what TempleLive was.

Cleveland just launched a new venue in the flats called Globe Iron, interested to see how that pans out. Going there in October to see Petey. It’s around the corner from Nautica. I’ll be interested to see how it holds up. Not far from the old Odeon.

  17. The Mountain Goats show that TempleLive was promoting in Peoria got moved to a bar that otherwise seems to book exclusively Zach Bryan clones, so that should be an interesting vibe.

Motion City Soundtrack playing a 200-cap venue for their album release show.

I work there & ordinarily would go, but unfortunately I'm out of town that weekend, but I encourage all my MN friends to go!

    EDIT: Chicago show too!
