Out of curiosity, how do people here like Lollapalooza generally? I’ve considered going to the Chicago one before but the lineup has never justified the price for me. If it has a good bit of overlap with this in 2026 I might do a day or two of it though.

I went two years (2021 and 2022) and it was cool, I had a fun time.
But its the only festival I have feel on the older side of the crowd due to all the college kids in there.

 

I had a great time this year. Great weather, good crowd experience, schedule worked out ideally for me on the one day I went.

A lot of people have issues with how young and poorly behaved the crowds are, and you'll probably find more of that at the EDM-centered stages or way up in the headliner crowds, so you mileage may vary. It's also very accessible by public transit and easy to combine some other Chicago sightseeing with a day or two of the fest.

 

I go every year. It does skew younger and isn't as community minded as something like Bonnaroo, but it's always a fun time for me and imo is a pretty well run festival. The main thing to keep in mind though is that there are 8 main headliners every year, but 2 play every night (plus one EDM artist and one smaller headliner as well), so make sure to consider that when you see the initial lineup - you will not be able to see all 8 of the biggest names unless you split the sets every night.

These SA lolla lineups look like every other 2024/2025 lineup…would it kill LN to maybe throw a different act onto their fests?

My days of doing the majors might be over bc cause besides Coachella and the European festivals, everything in North America that’s multi genre has been headlined by the same 6 artists in the last 2 years…Sabrina, Post, Chappell, Tyler, Hozier, Luke Combs, etc…are we just witnessing the death of rare and A-list legacy acts taking these headliner spots?
