how has there not been a band called this already?

 

Not sure how many they're on but Militarie Gun is opening the Sex Pistols show in LA

 

I’m sure there has been, but not with this level of marketing behind it. Maybe I underestimated the popularity of bands like Busted and Fightstar, but President is seemingly everywhere.

 

People love their "anonymous" masked bands with lore behind them (ex: Ghost and Sleep Token). But also lots of publications have been pushing President even before he released the first single

 

Never listened to them, but do they have like a concrete, non-vague political ideology/statement? Or just a cash grab aesthetic.

 

What’s crazy is President will have played more US shows than Busted or Fighstar

 

President? Honestly, I dont know. I listened to their songs once and that was it.

 

That TSSF/Sunami/Set Your Goals needs to be without a barricade. Wont happen but would be cool.

 

I was wondering the same thing myself. I read the lyrics from their released songs and it doesn't look like it. Maybe they have something in their live show but from an outside perspective it's incredibly bold to call your band President within this current political climate without having any kind of actual point of view. Quite tone deaf.

Our company is doing a org-wide meetup in Vegas starting on the Monday after WWWY; might have to fly in early.

 

All this President talk has me revisiting Presidents of the United States of America

also my TikTok for you page showed me presidents cause of their first live performance and then all the people in the comments were like oh that’s fight star dude and I just went huh??

I was like I missed some bands apparently

We need more bands where all members look like they were plucked out of an IT department

 

i think the bald guy from that band is pretty successful doing children’s music.
