Did Tik Tok blow up the Goo Goo Dolls or something? Me and some friends want to go to their Jones Beach show next weekend and not only is it sold out but all the resale tickets are absurdly priced. Them at Jones Beach has always been a summer tradition for us since like 2005, and I dont ever remember a year where we couldnt get tickets the week of for a face value of like 40 bucks.
Similarly, the show here is absolutely sold out, which is bonkers because they were practically giving tickets away on past tours.
I thought it was really weird too? I went to their tour with OAR in 2023 and it was SO easy to get $25 tickets to that. Not really sure what changed between now and then.
This combo of the Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard really moved tickets, just the very last row of the upper deck left at the show by me.
I've definitely seen an increase in GGD content online, a lot of Johnny Reznick videos of him collaborating with some bigger content creators.
Bagged a standing ticket to see Metallica night 1 in London with Gojira and Knocked Loose supporting.. £133 it cost me, definitely the most expensive stadium show I paid for!
For Goo Goo Dolls we ended up finding resale tickets for upper level seats at around $85 each. Not too terrible for a co-headliner in 2025 where I'm excited for both acts, just surprised that their demand is seemingly bigger than ever. And for context, the very next day at that venue is Offspring/JEW/NFG, and that show still looks to be 75% unsold.
Offspring show in the DC adjacent area wasn't fully sold out. I didn't mind because our group had a lot of space on the lawn. Also felt like Jimmy blew them completely out of the water.
offspring tour is weird. you can check after show stars and they have plenty of unsold seats and never lower prices. they seemingly just move people from lawn down instead
I tried to go to both goo goo dolls and offspring in Toronto and neither were cheap enough for me to pull the trigger.
