I'm going Wednesday, I bought like 7th row tickets when they went on sale just because I knew if I was going to be there all day I might as well be sitting.
I didn’t know 18+ from scene queen was about all time low til tonight. Whole crowd knew but me apparently.
I got pit tickets for Summer of Loud's West Wisconsin date for free basically, lol. A Minneapolis-area record store was giving away lawn tickets on Instagram, and they had several pairs to distribute, so unsurprisingly I won. Then as soon as I got to the venue, my friends told me there was was a lady walking around the venue handing out free ticket upgrades to anyone who asked, so after about 20 mins of hunting I found her and got a pit pass. It was a super fun show, but yeah definitely feel like the lack of a real big ticket "headliner" hurt ticket sales. Also I think having an all-day traveling festival on weekdays isn't really viable, anymore. Now that Warped Tour is over I don't think "the scene" is capturing the high school summer break audience ever again, and they certainly aren't with Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive lol. I think if they tried it again, it'd work if they only did the full-day fest on Fridays-Sundays in major markets, and then then did a scaled down 5pm-11pm version in other cities. If they got a slightly bigger name like Bad Omens, Spiritbox or A Day To Remember to headline it'd sell like hotcakes.
Jealous. Only wanted to see TDWP so I refused to pay full price and couldn’t find much for resale, then I *just* missed out on $20 stub hub tickets. Green Bay venue is in a weird location so I just parked at a restaurant across the street and listened to TDWP’s set
WCAR/After The Burial/Johnny Booth ends 8/23. That’s the only tour I could find. Could also be a band that’s on the Orlando Warped weekend since Koyo is on that.
I think it has to do with Fat Mike, breaking up NOFX, giving the band to Spike, selling Fat Wreck. There's some behind the scenes stuff that we don't know.
Not my picture but this is from the back of the lawn for Kesha in Chicago Saturday night. Biggest crowd of the tour
Haven't seen an announcement but Scowl, Sunami, Big Boy, Midrift, Nuovo Testamento and Whispers at the Hollywood Palladium in LA on October 22
