anyone able to get tickets for this? I'm trying to buy them for Los Angeles and none of the seats are available? I can't click on anything. I've been trying since about 10 mins after this was announced so it'd be crazy if they were all gone?? Also, weird that it's seated at the Belasco, that almost never has seats in the pit
nvm. even though they said the presale was happening now, it doesnt start till 11am PT. Password is ANNIVERSARY
All sold out, obviously... But these line-ups are fun to look at and cool to see brought into existence. Long live Asian Man Records and Mike Park!
Yeah I always assumed 95% of tickets on SH were form professional brokers with some sort of insider connections.
The law in Ontario that just went into effect that limits ticket resale to the FV in the ticket is having some interesting impacts. Shows that would have sold out previously are sitting unsold due to the fact that scalpers aren’t purchasing tickets for these shows because they have no option to make a profit. Charli, Kacey, Doja, Sombr, John Summit, Beabadoobee, and others all have unsold tickets for their Toronto arena shows, the interesting part is without the scalpers buying up inventory most of these shows all have lower level or premium view seats available due to the high fave value prices. Instead of seeing these tickets bought up by scalpers and listed on secondary sites, they’re sitting unsold. It’ll be interesting to see if we see some shows that don’t officially sell out now due to the higher initial face value costs and so few brokers buying up tickets to resale. For example, on the last Dua Lipa tour, brokers were holding 5-10% of the seats at each venue and had them listed on secondary. Demand wasn’t crazy high for the tour and it was them selling those same premium tickets for less than premium prices on secondary. Will those seats just go unsold now without the brokers taking the risk? We’ve already seen TM is very reluctant to lower prices dynamically.
At the Train, Barenaked Ladies, Matt Nathanson show in Tampa and they evacuated the venue 15 minutes before the show was supposed to start due to lightning. Been sitting in my car for the last hour waiting for updates. I’m now even more pissed at Live Nation for dragging their feet at getting the roof repaired. EDIT- we got let back in around 8:30 and they’re skipping BNL and Matt. Train on at 9:15. My wife is beyond upset
Get ready for more pain, then. Should be a couple tours dropping tomorrow. Venue in Greensboro, NC has been teasing a few.
I wish there were more good stuff hitting my area this month and next rather than everything getting announced for the fall, end of the summer is weirdly a completely dead zone for shows here but my fall is all booked up already and Im missing a bunch of great tours due to conflicts
The festival model definitely hurts clubs/theaters in the summertime so I understand the demand in the fall but seems like, at least from a consumer demand perspective, would make more sense for people to mount indoor tours at 2-3k venues in the summer time.
