oof. it already seems like the the first us miw leg is selling horribly and needs to be downgraded to 5-10k cap venues
kia forum is selling well I guess. irving and indianapolis seem to be both under 10k cap venues. that's about it
LA show is in an arena thats only selling the lower bowl & floor. Lower bowl seems mostly sold out while floor is available still
I can only speak for Portland for the Motionless tour, but when they've come here the past couple tours (2022 and 2023) they headlined the same venue (6500 cap arena) they'll be coming to here with Lorna Shore. I would think if they were worried about it making financial sense they would have switched to smaller venues for this run. They may be expecting for more week of, day before, day of sales leading up for these shows.
I definitely think it’s price fatigue for bands that tour all of the time. The cheapest ticket being $75 and any decent ticket being $110 is definitely prohibitively expensive for a lot of fans who have probably seen either band the past few years.
hoping someone will reward my laziness, but where'd she come from? First time I ever heard her name was with this collab with Fred Durst that my IG algorithm shoved at me last week, and now there's an album + tour etc. was she a known entity prior to this project?
She's an been releasing music since ~2014 and garned a small but dedicated queer fanbase through Youtube and did a shit ton of DIY shows back in like 2015-2017 (and also some LGBTQ+ Acivist speaking engagements). She eventually had a small stint on a major label that didn't really go anywhere, but she moved to LA shortly thereafter. She opened for Chase Atlantic in 2019, has collaborated with artists like Stand Atlantic & Sizzy Rocket, & has done like 5 headline tours of mostly ~500 cap venues since the pandemic. But she'a promoting this new album a her debut "real" album (ie. not an EP, not a mixtape).
