I had no idea where this was until I just looked it up. I wandered through Stateside when I was there for Taylor a few years ago - that place sucks.
I just can’t get behind the logic of “hey we changed the time of the show but if you can’t be down here 30 mins before the show even starts we may give your tickets away sorry!”
I feel you, but it's a city and I'm sure there's plenty of people with flexible jobs in town that will make it work and the venue won't regret that or learn a lesson at all. I'd be peeved too though.
fwiw i would be surprised if there is enough random people waiting without tickets that you wouldnt be able to get in after anyway
Those bands play the area so often I doubt there will be THAT many people traveling far without a ticket just hoping to get in.
Death Cab announced a surprise show playing the new album in full at a small venue in LA next week and it sold out in about 13 seconds.
thought about getting a ticket to that but figured I'd just use that $$ to get a last min ticket to the greek depending on if I like the new album or not
Damn, that Taste of Chaos bill is a stinker. The 2016 tour lineup was so solid, but was like 8 years too soon. In NY I saw Dashboard, Taking Back Sunday, Saosin, Motion City Soundtrack and The Early November play to an ampitheater 1/3rd filled. That would've killed during that nostalgia boom these past couple of years.
Random aside regarding Taste Of Chaos but I always thought the 07 version should have been headlined by AFI rather than the use. It was probably AFI's peak ticket-drawing period and it would have given them the opportunity to headline an arena tour without the usual pressure.
The first Taste of Chaos in 2005 is still one of the best lineups I’ve ever seen. Saosin, A Static Lullaby, Killswitch Engage, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, and The Used.
Underoath, Bleed The Dream, My American Heart. Foundational show for me, first (of dozens) at The Rave/Eagles Ballroom
