Is there travelling involved or did you buy secondary market tickets? I feel those are all $50 tickets each.

Band of Horses was $80. Had to buy 2 Menz tickets at $50 each and 3 Saosin tix at $60 each. I buy most of the tickets for shows I go to with my brother since I make a lot more than he does and I’d rather not go alone.

Makes way more sense! Nice of you, and still, $350 is $350 and i feel you. Expensive hobby at times but I always find myself never saying no.

BTW since we're talking about pricing, Live Nation All Access has been giving me a $25 voucher for every show I go to in their venues. You can apply those promos to buy tickets and you can use multiple promos for the same show. Basically got into YC/NFG and Beck for free.

Ahh Im gonna need to look into this. Would love to hit up that YC/NFG central park show, but funds are tight.

Yeah I got a $86 ticket down to $11 with 3 promo codes.

Wow. Thanks for this. I didn't know that you could stack promos like that or else I would have gotten different shows. But, it did get me two shows for $5 each (from the $30 promo). And it seems crazy, but I also got a $25 credit from going to the $30 Foo Fighters show.

I recently signed up for All Access. Do the vouchers come after you attend the show?

Yup usually the day after and are only valid for like a month

President of Ticketmaster is stating that your place in a queue is in fact not random, which is news to me. I always thought it was completely random.

Idk I find it hard to believe that there are often times legitimately 10-20x the capacity of the venue in queue for shows that wind up not even selling 25% in the end

I've figured this for a while. I've consistently gotten good queue numbers so it definitely can't be random. Figure it's based on frequent purchases maybe combined with how often the same account that purchased actually scans in the ticket(s).

I constantly get shitty numbers and I buy a lot and don't resell.

Yeah I don't know if I buy that. I've bought a shitload of concert tickets for the last 20 years and my place in the queues are all over the map.
The Oasis reunion tour was the most in demand tour of last year, and for both shows I went to there was hardly anyone ahead of me in the queue. Then for Hayley Williams earlier this year there were 100,000 ahead of me.

It's random and I call bullshit on anything to the contrary lol

Have an uncle who’s on the board of directors? First in line.

have a digital footprint complaining about Ticketmaster? Good luck!

Interesting points made, maybe it's due to age of account? I've had the same email associated with mine since 2005. I dunno, just trying to make some sense of it.

That Anaheim date that was teased must’ve fell through? Not listed on his tour dates and the teaser the venue posted the other day is now deleted. Weird
