Mike Ziemer said on Instagram that Furnace Fest will be the only North American album play of Count Your Blessings
Wonder if it's exclusive for the year. I could see them continuing doing one off festival pop ins into 2027.
Late to the discussion, but 3EB is great live nowadays. The way they blend songs is pretty great and I really enjoyed seeing them over the past 3 years with this current style of play. That being said, Stephen does talk A LOT like the other user said. The songs are great, though.
Heard from a friend who works with a northeast promoter that TBS/Thrice show in a b-market this summer sold less than 300 tickets (8.5K venue) during its first weekend on sale...checked ticket prices, $80 get-in price...that's just too damn high for bands with zero live production and no new material that is going off right now.
Beyond the price and the bands touring constantly, as a line-up it just doesn't feel very special... I think where these tours can work really well is when the bands toured/played shows together a bunch "back in the day" or were from a shared scene/region. But despite all being marked with the 'E' word these three feel disparate. But, TBH, if they switch this up to be a TAYF/Ambulance/Through Being Cool album play tour I bet that would kick numbers up a notch.
It’s a good pairing, gotta imagine there’s a ton of crossover. Also we’re still 3 months or so out so I imagine a bulk of the shows will still do well.
Sure it doesn't help that "Adam sounds like dookie live" isn't exactly a well kept secret on the Internet.
Not entirely shocked. Wouldn’t be surprised if the only NW date isn’t selling well either. They chose Tacoma which is a bitch to get to from Seattle and Portland on a weekday and the venue is about as far from public transit as possible. Just doesn’t seem like a smart idea to not book a venue in the middle of the city to make it easier for fans to attend. Weird routing and venue choices for that tour.
I’ve seen this at other events from dumb fucking kids, it’s honestly part of this youth generation that I personally believe don’t see consequences cause they see everything from a screen. There is a lot of this at fests, streamers, etc just last night they caught some dumb fucking kids at my store throwing a whole wheel of cheese, a whole unsliced deli turkey breast in the lobster tank. These kids are fucking dumb
I'll believe it when I see it when it comes to big fests not booking hip hop artists, hip hop is too huge of a genre to leave out. That said, it would be a huge double standard considering the same happens at EDM concerts (as per one of the replies to Festive Owl) and I've seen footage of tables getting thrown around at hardcore shows. Hip hop is an insurance risk but other genres that also inspire some rowdiness in the crowd aren't? Smells fishy.
Idk maybe there's some truth to that. Ive noticed less hip hop acts booked at events like bonaroo, lollapalooza, coachella etc. Figured this was just cause hip hop was leaving the mass popularity it had 4 or 5 years ago. for more country acts and girl pop/ k pop groups
ummm that last girl looked dead when the girl smacked her head on the pavement. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fight in 15 years at Bonnaroo, Coachella, or the myriad of jam and electronic fests I’ve done. Kind of shocking to see people just beating the shit out of each other in the crowd like that.
the same absolutely does NOT happen at EDM fests…now if we want to talk drug use with no harm reduction and sexual assault at EDM fests let’s go…it’s anecdotal but I’ve probably been to 30+ EDM fests in the last 10yrs and never seen a fist fight.
I haven't seen a real fight at a jam show but I saw a kid crack his skull falling on the sidewalk on nitrous outside of MSG and somebody got stabbed in an attempted robbery outside Hampton last summer
