With Cresswell and George already playing Fest it makes sense for HWM to at least play but we'll see

 

Stoked on the Menzingers tour. Haven’t seen HWM since I saw Menziners open for for them in 2013 so that’ll be a nice treat.

If I'm reading that correctly they....lost money?

 

Lost money on their guarantees alone, but this doesn’t appear to factor in merch sales

 

Merch from money made them £40K in profit but they need to invest that in future touring and such.

the merch line at the boston show was crazy, at least they make up money that way. always love reading these

 

$500 for an upper tier nap during the sounds of New England lullabies does not sound like a fair trade.

 

The thing with this presale is... anyone can log in to it, but you need the AMEX card to actually buy the tickets. That's what I'm holding out hope on, that not many people in the queue actually have one.

That ACL lineup seems really weirdly light, I don’t recognize a single name after Rebecca Black, and there’s like more than half the lineup after her.

Also weird to have almost zero country and hip hop. Didn’t Lorde just play Austin?

Oddly got a great queue number for Olivia, attempted to cart a GA and got a "Ticket is no longer available message." Don't feel like spending 2x for early entry though which was, of course, still available.

 

Yeah....I push back on that, and maybe this is just the capitalist American in me but "I deserve to have a limited luxury nonessential item for way below market value" is an attitude that makes no sense to me.
