Kokoroko, Christian McBride & Mei Semones(!), Shabaka, Ratboys, and Joshua Redman will be great shows too
This is the first announced show for the "bay stage" in like 17 years. The old one was kind of behind the consessions, this post by them implies that it will be in the main plaza that they revamped over the past couple years. My guess is around 4k
Do we think any of those three bands (TBS, Thrice, STD) will play a full album or can we expect greatest hits?
I think TBS will be a bunch of Louder Now since the tour is wrapped around the Red Rocks full album show. So a lot of Louder Now with the greatest hits. Thrice will probably be similar to the latest runs where it's a mix. I don't see them doing a full album play through as the opener.
Oddly easy to get a Geese GA Floor ticket at Forest Hills this AM. I know it's bigger than other venues on their tour but given it's a hometown show, was thinking it would be much more in demand.
I also popped into the presales for three different dates of the TBS/Thrice/STD tour, and there wasn't a queue for any of them. Looks like I don't need to make a rush decision on that one. Trying to decide between Jones Beach, Brooklyn or CT.
I don't think there's been a queue for any shows I've bought tickets for this year. I think a lot of people are hesitant to spend money on concerts right now.
Yeah, they're all priced as if you're buying 2 tickets every time, compared to like 10 years ago. I just wait for deals these days. I go to so many less concerts these days soley based on the price of tickets.
I just saw them at coachella and when I saw they were booked for one of the smallest tents (Gobi) I was worried it’d be difficult to get a good view but I walked right into the middle of the tent the second they started and the crowd only got thinner the longer they played
On board with you...there is no show out there (outside very few HUGE artists) that you won't be able to get a ticket for face value or less in venues as large as forest hills stadium or those that are bigger
