Nobody’s gonna care, but of course the lineup of a new fest/fest expansion sucks. For those that don’t know, until Covid northeast Wisconsin had two huge festivals, County USA and Rock USA (think the Danny wimmer style fests). The grounds were sold to wimmer, but did nothing with it and sold it again. New promoters have been doing this Xroads thing for two years and the lineups have been confounding. Now they’ve tacked on an extra rock-focused day and naturally the booking still sucks. It’s a shame that the area went from having those massive fests to this dinky shit. Should have been a slam dunk for wimmer which adds insult to injury
The missing NYC date on that Strokes tour made me think that CBGB Fest is probably coming back and they are the headliners. They have that weekend open. Someone also mentioned that Sex Pistols w/Frank Carter had to cancel last year, and their new tour has that weekend open as well with no NYC date.
The Maine were just announced for the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, CA. They’re playing July 3rd. Also, Gym Class Heroes are playing the San Mateo County Fair on June 6th.
I was thinking this as well. I think even moving it Forest Hills would also be too small. Seems like Randall's Island doesn't do festivals anymore....perhaps Citi Field parking lot or Flushing Meadow Park?
Speaking of Olivia, anyone have an idea when her tour dates will drop? She's already teased the poster and she has a new single out this weekend, I'd be surprised if it wasn't soon.
