Oh, I know. The one time I saw Dying Fetus previously was as support for Hatebreed so I know they cater to a diverse crowd. I think I'm just salty the one time they actually announce a show in my area the openers are...not to my taste. Plus they're doing a set based on shit from their first three albums next year at Maryland Deathfest so that gives me hope there might be a tour around that next year worth traveling a bit for.

Big Ass Truck would be a lot cooler if they didn't have to add "I.E." to their band name because it wasn't an original idea and there wasn't a rap rock Big Ass Truck 30 years ago.

Big Ass Truck is a terrible name until you remember that they are supposed to be a joke band and there are deeply respected serious bands named things like Mannequin Pussy and Diarrhea Planet

Maybe issue booking Toronto date? That DOES stand out from the rest of the major cities.

Funny enough, even with big money the lineup at Electric City is pretty mid compared to what the local indie promoters who have been here forever bring in.

 

good read…I actually live in the same building as Electric City. In the last 6-8mos I’ve seen Spoon, Lauren Mayberry, Laura Jane Grace, LP Giobbi, and Refused…being able to pregame in your apt and then being able to be in bed 5 mins after the show has been incredible.
