Damn, was hoping for Jimmy Eat World at Summerfest. But I’ll be going on 6/20: The Juliana Theory -> Braid -> The Academy Is
Lots of good stuff on Summerfest, but no one I need to see enough to deal with getting out of that area at the end of the night.
If you park your car in the shuttle lot you can get bussed into and out of the fest whenever you're ready to leave! That's what we did last year and it was a breeze.
Last year Louder Than Life was pretty rough tbh. A. Objectively way too big, and the water & bathrooms were unevenly distributed. B. The only pathway to the northwestern sidestages was a bottleneck through the food tent village. c. They stuck a stage inside the Kentucky Kingdom theme park, and the line to get into the park was backed up all weekend because the metal detectors were understaffed. All-in-all if you like the bands you'll still have a great time, but the layout is not a selling point.
A few possibilities that stick-out -All Time Low + KennyHoopla + Girlfriends (also all on Warped LB) -Modern English + Echo & The Bunnymen -The Beths + Blondeshell -Holly Humberstone + Dora Jar -Ella Mai + Absolutely -Petey USA + Henrik
Third Eye Blind/Hot Mulligan/State Champs/Koyo for the typical TEB summer shed tour would go dummy hard.
I had this thought too, but Hot Mully & Koyo already have their own tour together unfortunately. Taylor Acorn is playing the same stage as Third Eye Blind, maybe her & State Champs would make sense?
Ah. I see Wu-Tang are doing the sneaky "gonna do a final tour but still play individual dates sometimes" thing. LOL
