Beyond "mainstream" they also had Radio Disney/children's music crossover. Which is a pretty big thing considering that they have what? Two generations of fans now that have kids who can go to the show too.
If the lineup is anything like the lineup in Forth Worth I might considering going. Cool to see Portland getting more festivals on the waterfront.
They’re solid support draw wise, but that last Toronto show was free admission to the CNE (a very large fair)
Really? That’s so disappointing and kills any excitement I had for this. I will definitely not be attending, thanks for the heads up. I thought it was mighty convenient that this basically replaced Punk in the Park in Portland.
I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case… The fact that the cities are listed in that Bad Religion font they usually use for their PITP posters gave it away
Not to be sarcastic but… It was the logo in the left-corner of the poster that gave it away for me. LOL I definitely missed it on the first announcement, myself.
Unfortunately I see that festival being more successful than PITP was here. Oregon has a pretty big Reggae scene and a lot of those types bands play Eugene/Bend normally during the summer.
Surprised Josh Caterer is on this. I know he was worship pastor at a pretty maga anti-LGBTQ church, so this is a nice change of pace.
He dipped out of that church years ago (at least a decade ago, I think?) and from the podcasts I've heard him do over the years it seems that element of it never sat well with him anyway. Not excusing the association for the time it lasted but... His output and his associations over the last decade or so are indicative of a person who is on the right side of things as far as I can tell.
Jimmy Eat World played an Arby’s in Daytona Beach last night. Apparently it was coordinated with one of the NASCAR teams. Us locals usually know to stay away from Daytona during the race weekends, but c’mon!
