I know we've probably had this conversation before but in what part of the country do people refer to some venues as sheds and are those just amphitheaters? I've only ever done east coast venues (up and down) and never heard that except for in here.
I think sheds is an industry term but I could be wrong. Most non-industry people refer to them as amphitheaters
I happened to be standing next to the festival organizers at the Taking Back Sunday show last night. They were telling me about this Used/Cartel announcement coming today, but also mentioned a 3rd act booked for that day too. Don’t know if I should spill beans or not but it’s a fun one. Would be billed above Cartel.
It filled in pretty well after that tweet. I was a few feet away from the Combat crew close to the barricade by the time they started at 8. Probably could have been more packed, but a solid showing for a freezing downtown show on one day’s notice. They played a full 75 minute standard set, even 23. Made it to the Danny Brown show right on time after the show finished up.
