Insane statement but you’re right. I’d hope it was at least coheadline out of respect but you can make an easy case for TWY supporting.
I think a lot of the SF talk here is getting by most of you in how they're just turning (turned?) into our parents bands at this point of our lives. They know we're not here for new songs, and just want the hits, and know it's very unlikely to break through to new crowds right now. It's easy money, if they can sell tours.
I could see it being billed as a co-headliner but HM closing out the show. Maybe TWY could close Philly tho
Hot Mulligan is much bigger than TWY has ever been basically (I don't understand it) but yeah definitely wouldn't be a coheadliner
Was just thinking this but a hot mulligan and the story so far tour would print stacks of money right now
Yeah last time they came here, TWY coheadlined with The Menzingers and they sold out a 1000 cap venue the night of the show. HM sold out a 1500 cap here within a week, nearly 5 months before the show. There’s a pretty big difference in popularity. HM sold out the Crystal Ballroom faster than Neck Deep, TSSF, TBS, TWY, NFG, etc ever have. It’s pretty crazy as I find all of those bands to have a much more accessible sound than HM.
Hot Mulligan’s blowup is still kind crazy to me. I feel like I blinked one day and suddenly they got huge
the wonder years brought them with them here to Fresno and I was like what the gell who is this band two years later and now I’m like dang I miss a real good show and now I gotta see them at Coachella fest
At least we have TWY to thank for Hot Mulligan’s success: they gave them the blueprint to get away from No Sleep and the freedom to release things via Wax Bodega.
the teaser evanescence posted was them, poppy, spiritbox, and k flay. is k.flay the rotating spot or is there a 5th band/artist on the bill?
