Raad's still in law school I'm pretty sure. I've kind of just accepted the band is very part time/when they can now.
Went down at 5 and the box office knew nothing about that. Still sold out on their end. They were $150 when they went on sale. Maybe some will open up last minute. I notice the event got pulled entirely from StubHub a few days ago. Awesome of them to do as this will raise a lot of money locally.
Armor For Sleep x Senses Fail x Story of the Year is an incredible booking. Currently at the Baltimore show and cannot believe it’s not sold out.
I went to the Atlanta show and it got downgraded from a 2300 cap room to a 1000 cap room and still looked a little over half full. I had a blast tho.
I would 100% have gone if it was at the Eastern as that's a super convenient one for me (not that variety isn't but I just got lazy last minute and know for sure sure I wouldn't have at the Eastern). It was the right call as I've been to 2-3 shows at the Eastern where the upstairs is closed and the downstairs is a 1/4 to 1/2 full and it just feels sad. Glad the bands rocked it though. I've seen them both before and 2 of the best in the scene that have been doing it as long as they have.
I feel bad, story of the year seemingly has no draw whatsoever outside of anniversary tours for their first album, but even a regular tour they play half the freaking album.
Agreed. The new song (Gasoline) is awesome, and to be honest, I think their whole discography is solid and consistent.
I’ve seen Senses Fail yearly for the last 12-15 years and never really seen a tour draw poorly. So I gotta assume this has to do with support.
Both bands suffer from a lot fans only liking their first 2 albums. SF just did an anniversary tour last year and SOTY did the Page Avenue tour a few years ago. Given the economy, this is probably a skippable tour for a lot of casual fans.
