I’d honestly be shocked if the tour does well, I think it’s universally known that Vince is awful and can’t sing anymore right?
Pretty much but they still get fans out there in some way. Their stage show has been the attraction for most for like 10-12 years at this point lmao. They also owe live nation a good amount of tour dates
I generally am at peace with people liking what they like but I genuinely cannot understand why people would go see Motley Crue these days.
I saw the Crue when they played bamboozle and they were fantastic, but Vince Neil has had several health issues and really let himself go and just can’t even hit the most basic of notes anymore.
They don't even hide it that they're not trying anymore. At least when I saw ac/dc Brian was still trying and the rest of the guys seemed to be having fun playing shows again
I only sell tickets if there was a legit family emergency and there has been a few this year unfortunately which I had to back out of the gigs I had planned on going and usually I sell either at the price I actually paid for or less than face value if it's really short notice! I would never sell for way above value at all.
same, I was joking that it would be cheaper for me to fly across the Atlantic than to pay ticketmaster fees
Mötley Crüe in 2025 to me is like the 80's version of what Taking Back Sunday is in 2025. Like yeah the vocals sound like shit, but get drunk enough and you won't even notice/care.
Just saw word on Reddit (I know the greatest source of all) about a Lamb of God/Kublai Khan TX/Fit For An Autopsy/Sangisugabogg tour announcing tomorrow. Edit with more concrete source:
I wonder if that’s the tour I saw someone vague posting about on twitter. Although they also said they weren’t sure it was getting announced tomorrow. EDIT: nevermind it was the guy from Fox Lake who tweeted about it so it’s probably something to do with that band.
I think the dirty secret about ticket scalping is most fans secretly like it. I've had multiple people tell me they bought a few extra "maybe to make some money" for certain high demand shows. I do think, ultimately, if acts want there should just be a closed system where if you can't make it you can just put back into the ticket pile within the original seller and if it sells for the price you bought, all good. Unfortunately, too many people's hands are greased with resale so we're stuck with it.
Every year in Valentines Day there is a story about some guy who booked every restaurant and is selling the reservation for a profit.
These people are bad and selfish. The main reason there is "demand" and jacked up prices for shows like this is because of these people. Because people like this exist the actual demand for events is difficult to gauge. Blah blah blah the artists decide blah blah blah. Whatever. The ecosystem is tainted and should be fixed.
I don’t think fans “secretly like it” I think people have had opportunities to take advantage of it but would trade the money they made vs ending scalping in an instant
I think they also like it because, theoretically, if you have the means you can get into any high demand show you want.
Let's not confuse people who enjoy music/fans with privileged scumbags taking advantage of a broken system.
Spiritual Cramp openers just dropped! Curious to see who else winds up on the dates with Radioactivity... EDIT: I'm guessing that blank is Restraining Order! Same # of asterisks as letters and the run of dates on this tour are almost exactly the same cities on the last few dates of their run with Koyo that are happening right now.
I find it funny that a few weeks ago in an interview that Nikki Sixx did.. he openly said he's had enough of touring and being away from his family yet this tour has been announced!
