Don’t have anything for 2026 except Ruston Kelly in January. Hoping the TWY tour and a Yellowcard headliner come here next year. I’m assuming YC has another tour on the books since the tour with ADTR was mostly B markets.
Finishing off 2025 with Fiddlehead in Portland next month. Not much for next year just yet though. So far I only have tickets to Seahaven. Also considering Joyce Manor and Silversun Pickups but havent committed to either of those. Frankly I haven't seen many other tours pop up that are worth my money. Also most likely skipping out on Something in the Way this year.
they were hyping this as NSSN's grand return to Live 105 after not having the show for quite a long time - and then the lineup was meh. KROQ AAC is like the *entire* same lineup + some more bands, too. wonder if that played a factor as well
That's a big part of it. That and the pay-cuts the artists take when they do them... Too, I think a lot of it has to do with the general ecosystem too. By the time certain artists are getting radio airplay now they've been a pretty big deal on the touring circuit for years. Or they've come out of nowhere and don't play shows in which case people just aren't that dedicated to them yet. LOL
More bands doing something for food banks (this also has me hopeful that they'll do something big for Portland food banks come Dying Wishmas).
I did always find it kinda cool that one of the local alt-rock stations here in Boston would do a run of shows all on the same night and they were pretty much all underplays or relatively unique line-ups heavily curated . Like having Rancid, Less Than Jake, and Zebrahead in a 400-cap club in 1998. Or Blink-182 and Lit in a 2.5k space in 2001 (that same venue hosted Hole and Garbage in 1998 as well as Korn, Hoobastank, and Coheed in 2003 if memory serves). Nothing too crazy. But definitely fun to think back on in the era.
No Good News Drummer Steps Down Amid Outcry Over Alleged Past Sexual Assault - Theprp.com He full blown admitted to sexual assault in his original statement. But is now deleting comments of anyone who brings it up now.
It's a cool show if you've never seen the bands but if you've seen them multiple times, it's not worth it because it's just gonna be short sets with the hits only and whatever new single the band has out. Luckily I have a connection that can get me in to this show this year so I'm definitely taking advantage of that
Yeah, I get that. I just find it hard to believe that in the year 2025 there are a significant number of people who have never seen these bands before or want a "greatest hits" set. The line-up is a little all over the place and is purely legacy acts with the exception of the Paradox and Wet Leg. KROQ used to be pretty cutting edge and this show was stacked with "current" talent. So I dunno. The whole formula for the thing is just off... That said: If I could get in for free I would 100% go to something like this if it were in my area. LOL
I've just got The Academy Is to wrap up this year and then The Format next year along with Hayley Williams if I can get tickets. Might go see Stateside in a couple weeks too, haven't decided yet.
I’m going to Jack’s Mannequin next week, and so far the only tickets I have for next year are MXPX in January and Warped Tour LB. Strongly considering going to Bouncing Souls & H2O in December, but haven’t fully decided yet.
I only have both weekends of Coachella and My Chemical Romance next year but I know it’ll fill up soon
Got Joyce Manor, Ethel Cain, and Bring Me The Horizon next year. Probably at least one or two I'm forgetting and many more I'll be trying for, but next year I need to stay closer to some semblance of a budget. This year was ludicrous.
I'm imagining most tours will be buried somewhere on the Sonic Temple and WTR lineups, so I'll just be over here manifesting a Lorna Shore/Chelsea Grin/Paleface Swiss/Disembodied Tyrant tour that somehow makes its way out West.
Still got Kyle Kinane tomorrow and Natasha leggero stand up shows, but that’s it for 2025 Next year so far has: Goldfinger & unwritten law Nine Inch Nails Dropkick Murphys, aggrolites, & haywire Dolly Parton in Vegas (was supposed to be in a month, but now it’s September)
So far I've got Halsey (Badlands) and No Doubt (first time ever + first time at the Sphere) next year. Will be broken hearted if I don't get Hayley tickets on Friday since I had them in 2020. It'll probably take acts I've never seen before make a return to touring (both in general or even just around NYC), major reunions, pantheon level album plays, or something else significant to get me to a bunch more shows next year. The past four years have been so far above and beyond what I could have hoped to have seen since things started to open up in summer 2021 that my credit card needs a breather. I also have TBS next month so I can witness the Adam/John/Fred trifecta I never thought I'd see.
MCS, Ratboys, Joyce Manor/Militarie Gun/Combat, Boys Like Girls, Bring Me the Horizon, and Warped DC are the big anchors in the first half on the year, with a few others sprinkled in. Excited to grab tickets for Disturbing the Peace, Joey Valence, (hopefully Hayley Williams), and the back-to-back of Foo Fighters/QOTSA/Mannequin Pussy + MCR/Modest Mouse in DC. Random conflict I’m toying with is Florence and the Machine and Touché Stage Four on the same night in DC
Since I'm back to being a student I made myself promise I wouldn't spend more than $50 (with fees) for any tickets this year besides Coachella. So far I'm checking out... Cut Copy Joywave Silversun Pickups Joyce Manor/Militarie Gun Peaches Finding myself at more queer parties/club nights than shows lately. Ticket prices are just getting stupid for anything that's in a theatre or arena. Coachella is my big splurge purchase for the year.
