The mention of Oakland makes me think arenas. The Fox Theater would be way too small for her at this stage unless she does multiple nights.
Fox Theater is 2800 right? I assume multiple nights at large theaters, arenas would probably be a bit too much at this point.
Yeah, the Fox is 2800. I guess the variable is if the same crowds that showed up to the last Paramore tour will also show up for Hayley solo. Paramore did two nights at the Chase Center and the Oakland Arena is smaller than that one, so that’s why I was thinking it’s an arena tour. But I can also see multiple nights in larger theaters making sense.
Small band, but I don't know where else to post it, - did anyone see the band Meltt on this tour run? I just saw them in Atlanta and I was so disappointed in the sound mix. It might have been the worst I've ever heard at the venue I've been to dozens of times. Drums were way too loud (snare especially) and for the first couple of songs it's like the guitars weren't even on, and their music is so layered and intricate that it was all drowned out. I don't think I've seen a more disappointing show in years. And I hate that for them, they're one of my favorite bands but it was a terrible outing for them for sound. I left halfway through as it was just a barrage of drums and bass and flashing stage light with just about everything else in the songs getting lost in the mix. I talked to a few people there who agreed though plenty of people didn't seem bothered. I even moved around the room and it didn't get any better. Tour wide I wonder or just my venue... (opener sounded great).
I got tickets for Kilby Block Party next year. Her tour ending right before the festival give me high hopes for Hayley to perform at Kilby.
Setlist Selection Childish Gambino is doing a pick the setlist for his headlining set at camp flog gnaw and now I don’t have to worry about most of my faves not being played lmao
Weirdly, a co-worker of mine mentioned going to their Boston date a few days back. I know nothing about the band but... They said it was amazing. So maybe it was just the venue? They also don't go to a ton of shows so maybe they just didn't know how it should have sounded? Hard to tell.
This page somehow makes its way to my Instagram a lot and I honestly love it. A lot of cool gems in there
Heavily considering flying to Philly or Orlando for a show next spring, but not sure if I’m emotionally prepared to hear this full record live.
