Thats what I thought, some Dirty Hit artists Like Bleachers or the oned you mentioned, and maybe Phoebe Bridgers as direct support. That can do ball parks in a few major cities

I think phoebe will be able to do ballparks on her own when she comes back

I was thinking arenas, but ball parks would be cool.

    idk man

For The 1975 it's definitely a city by city basis. New York, potentially Citi Field. Many other cities, not so much.

Crazy to me how the first time I saw The 1975 was back in 2019 and The Japanese House opened. Did not like The Japanese House at all. There's a good chance they are now going to be in my top 5 listened to artists this year.

Now I have fomo for a tour that never happened (1975, Phoebe, Beabadoobee)

I can't think of anything I want less than to hear Kyoto from stadium nosebleeds lol

I don’t doubt that Phoebe will do arenas when she comes back. Not stadiums tho…

The Japanese House opened the first proper leg of The 1975's tour for I Like It When You Sleep in 2016 along with Wolf Alice. I was all psyched to see them yet get stuck in an hour plus line at Barclays trying to get in and missed their set. Thankfully have caught them since.

Phoebe is not at ballpark level yet IMHO, especially when bigger acts have not jumped straight to ballparks from smaller venues like Dua, Charli, Billie, Sabrina, Olivia, etc.

My guess is she’ll do an arena tour with one night in smaller markets and multiple nights in bigger markets depending on how the next album cycle goes.

Agreed, she'll have to do the multi-night arena/on sale hysteria with everything going quickly/premium pricing, etc move first.

The litmus test I'm now using is the Lumineers have played Citi Field and they have way less of a dedicated fanbase then majority of these acts we're talking about so if THEY can, I think a lot of other acts can.

I saw The Lumineers play Wrigley Field in 2022 and I thought it would be as big as they get. I was surprised when they played Soldier Field this year. Probs they dont have a rabid fanbase, but enough casual listeners that can fill a NFL stadium, but also they had strong support on both ocassions.

This feels right to me. I guess there's an outside shot that she gets really lucky with the lead single and it pops off on TikTok or whatever but... Probably arenas, yeah.

Right?!! I love to see it. What's funny is that I could have sworn I heard Missy say in an interview toward the end of last year that they'd be taking a bunch of time off from touring in 2025. LOL. And they were on the road most of 2025 in the end... And 2026 is looking to be busy too.

These opportunities are really rad because the band is rad but also after seeing them at Something in the Way last year they gave off the vibe of a band that was ready (from a live perspective, with the songs they've written, etc.) to play bigger venues. Which was dope and exciting to see!

Meanwhile, I'm hoping we can get some new music at some point in 2026 too!

I have some of these acts at a different standard as here in Latam, Dua Lipa, Billie and Olivia are already playing stadiums, even multiple nights per tour.

But I agree, Phoebe is not as big as them. But I guess there will be big expectations for her new album/tour after Punisher and The Record by Boygenius

Sad my buddy no longer lives in the apartment complex across from left field. We used to sit out on the roof deck and watch games and listen to shows.

I'm about a 2 mile walk from there so I might just go down both nights and get a last minute ticket to both.
