There's the original post for the east coast date (I see Bane and On Broken Wings were added, think there's a couple more there that are new) and the LA version as well.
Dailies for Something in the Way! This actually breaks down pretty nicely. Might get a two-day pass... Tigers Jaw, Momma, Angel Du$t, Glitterer, Gram Hunt, and Guv on day 1 and Citizen, How Much Art, No Warning, Pelican, Pool Kids, and Sheer Mag on day 2 would be worth it I think... I'm just really excited to see a fest like this sticking around in Boston!
My guess is aside from System and maybe a few other acts it's going to vary pretty drastically date to date since it's April and October.
Idk why but it’s really awesome to me that Explosions in the Sky is playing that fest. They are such a sick live band.
Depends on how you define Britpop but probably not unless you are including Radiohead in the mix. Most of the 90s/00s Britpop bands have fans on the coasts consisting of older millennials/Gen Xers but haven't really made much dent in terms of younger fans. So it's probably both the case of older bands not wanting to go out and slum it across the US and not as much demand.
I know Damon did some solo shows but it's interesting he's never done like a Blur/Gorillaz concert like Ben did with Death Cab and Postal Service
From my observation, quite a few of those British bands have been getting a lot of younger fans as of the last few years. I’ve definitely noticed bands like Blur and Radiohead being noticed by Gen Z
I'd also say it depends on how you're defining "big." Because Oasis is the biggest by miles... But I can think of a few that can fill theaters and clubs pretty well. But when you start talking arenas and stadiums then that starts to feel like a stretch. I feel like the ones that had reasonably successful tours this past year (James, Pulp) would probably see a dip in ticket sales if they attempted touring the states at any point in the next 2-3 years.
Yeah agreed. Also, before they reunited this year, Oasis struggled to fill arenas and often played 5-8k venues in cities.
