Luke Combs is announcing a full World Tour on Thursday but the big surprise for me that the venues he's teasing for the UK and Ireland are Slane Castle in Ireland, Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland and Wembley Stadium.. I didn't realise how big he is over here!!

He’s playing Neyland here in Knoxville and I think we’re the tenth biggest stadium on earth right now. Something like that. Huge jump in venue size for him. And he’s a genuinely good guy.

unsure if tour incoming or just a one off (since their newer guitarist, Moon, is from here)

Probably just a one-off or it’s part of a small tour. All Goldfinger does these days are one-offs, mini tours, or fest appearances

I think there is a big demand for him with late twenty something's, they love country music at the moment and he is definitely one of the biggest names. It is also the seemingly modern trend of playing one or two shows at massive venues over doing a full tour of big venues. Look at the numbers Zach Bryan pulled in here this summer playing outdoor shows in Ireland and London.

I agree, Zach Bryan sold out 2 nights at Hyde Park this past summer plus loads of country artists are selling out O2 academy sized venues around the UK.. hell we had the Grand Ole Opry at Royal Albert Hall in London and that was a sell out! It's crazy that ever since the very first C2C festival happened years ago... Country music since then has exploded popularity wise

Morgan Wallen sold out his day at Hyde Park last year and his first ever UK show was at the O2 in London the year before and that was sold out straight away and I have heard through a friend in the know that he's booked to play Wembley Stadium next summer as well and there's gonna be an official announcement in the next few weeks!

Yeah, I think that the bigger names are more mainstream now. Next years C2C lineup looks to me arguably the weakest one yet. I think the bigger stars have outgrown it and they are reluctant to recycle headliners. As someone from Manchester it is quite annoying that bigger tours (all genres) seem to be just doing London as the England date.

Oh I agree about the bigger name artists when they do big shows over here.. it's a one off London and advertising it as a UK show! But still glad some known Country music artists r doing full UK arena tours like Brett Young, Darius Rucker, Kane Brown

I'm going to keep it 100 with you all, after seeing them at Aftershock this past weekend I felt kind of a let down with their live show? Like don't get me wrong they sounded good and all and performed well, but as someone who watched Dillinger live compilations of them basically putting their bodies through the ringer and Greg running on people's heads in the first 20 seconds of the set in that abandoned mall I felt let down there wasn't any crazy shit. It felt like Ben was the only one who still understood what people were there for and even then it felt restrained, like for the rest of the guys this is just their weekend/vacation band. I mean for fucks sake they didn't even do the fire breathing at the end of 43% Burnt.

I get it, but they're older, their fans are older, and maybe like me, they have realized that chaos and endangerment isn't all that cool anymore?

It reminds me of the other day when I went to a DIY show with a decent up and coming heavy band, and it was all just crowd killers and people forcing everyone around them to be a part of the 'violence'. I was as far out the way as possible for the small venue and still caught some strays, got shoved across the room and spilled beer everywhere before a note even rang out, and got some intentional 'everyone is going to be moshing with me, even if you clearly don't want to be' hits.

Call me old, but I'm over crowd killing and overly aggressive pits, and I dislike bands that want to force everyone to enjoy the music in whatever crazy way that gets them off. If your music is good enough, the pit heads will hit, and everyone else is already there and gave you their money, their time, their ears etc so just leave them alone?

EDIT: Got a little off topic but I want to be able to go to heavy shows and enjoy it in my own way (and I think so do plenty of others), so hearing that Dillinger toned it down, isn't all that surprising, or unwelcome to me.
