That Joyce Manor tour BANGS

Joyce Manor is definitely the bigger band here. They've been consistently doing ~1-3k capacity rooms post-pandemic.

Militarie Gun is a little behind them (500-800 cap spaces) to the point where they are a really strong support act. Depending on how the new album goes, yeah, there's a chance this should feel more like a co-headliner but in this moment? It makes perfect sense.

And FWIW, I know these two bands have been trying to tour together for a long while so Militarie Gun was probably down for whatever. Haha.

Without the openers is such a bummer. Real curious to see who they slot in here given that it's a 30th birthday kinda thing. Praying it's somebody interesting and not just a bunch of Boston street punk dorks.

EDIT: Also just noticed the lack of a 3/16 date. I'm guessing they add a date if one of these sells out.

not to one of those people, but can JM sell out the Salt Shed? even with the support it seems really big for them, esp considering their last couple albums didn't make a huge impact?

 

They probably won't sell out the Shed, but I will say every time they headline Concord, they pack the place to the brim and it's a nightmare in there. Maybe Riv woulda been a nice middle ground, but I love Salt Shed so I'm game

 

my thoughts exactly. It seems like the label is gonna push this album hard. Depressed is getting radio play. MG has a new album. I think it will do fine. Tickets are also $43 which is actually reasonable for the salt shed too.

 

People put too much emphasis on artists "selling out" venues. They probably won't be able to sell out a venue of that size but they'll definitely pack it out pretty nicely with the tour package that they've put together.

I'd rather see Joyce Manor take a hard swing and level up a venue size if they can make it happen.

Is it really getting radio play? That's pretty awesome!

Just got my Joyce Manor tickets and I am really, really excited for that show! Decent price too, considering the value of the bill, like folks have said.

 

Touche promoted the anniversary at Riot Fest and implied they'd be back, I bet it'll announce when this show sells out.

im just someone who doesn’t like making the 4 hour drive to it plus I don’t like driving back same day so I would get a hotel and that’s just too much to deal with for me lol
