they’re booking the artists that people who aren’t struggling with money in the current economy want to see. broke people ain’t going to Vegas.

best news. we ended up getting a refund last year, stoked dave is doing ok now.

 

I found it cool for like 10 minutes but then it lost me. The reason being, is it's a big curved screen, and when it first came on it's SUPER immersive like 'holy shit, I didn't realize how much screen there was' but then you start to notice things that break that immersion. I saw the Darren Aronofsky movie (which is hilarious as its all about earths waste of resource and you're seeing it in the sphere), but it was filmed symmetrically with what was supposed to be a lot of straight lines, and they all curve, because well the screen is curved. Then all I could think about was how distorted everything was and then I lost interest. Like, you're showing this big gorgeous temple with spires that are meant to be straight and they bend into each other... It just ended up looking really weird..

TLDR - Artists going to play the sphere - don't use straight lines or any kind of visuals that will be ruined by the curved screen.

 

Avenged Sevenfold will play their biggest headline show in Mexico City, at our 65k capacity stadium.
