Next week’s Sum 41 announcement will include their Spring ‘24 dates and Winter ‘25, which seems wild. No clue on openers for the ‘25 shows unfortunately.

as someone who is impatient as hell, Coachella is actually the worst because I need the lineup and they are just kinda like we will drop it when we want too

That is genuinely better than the past five lineups.

Why are they doing this so spread out? Are both being billed as a final tour - with a break in between? Or is the Spring a warm-up to the final tour?

Either way, feels like an odd execution.

yea, the more i sit with it, the more i can separate my nostalgia for pointfest being a summer staple when they had 15-20+ bands, and at least 8-10 were absolute bangers, with multiple stages all day, and see it instead as a smaller cool showcase of all the newer alt-metal/rock thats on the upswing, i dig it, and will probably check it out.

Blink did something pretty similar. In Fall 2022 they announced their World Tour, which included their Spring '23 US dates, Fall '23 European dates and their Winter '24 Australia dates.

    Things have changed.

They've already announced 30+ dates for this year, mostly overseas. Bookending that with NA legs.

Same, I appreciate them doing that. I do miss those wild lineups from the past though, those were the days.

Can also confirm I first saw Acacia post it and now it's gone. I've seen it still floating around on other metalcore/deathcore pages though. Maybe got posted early on accident? Would be weird to announce it and then silently cancel it right after.

I could be wrong here, but I'm like 98% sure it's the song Carbomb by The Acacia Strain and not the band.

why would you advertise ONE song that you're playing?

not to mention a song that's probably been played at every Acacia show for the last 2 decades

It's a celebratory tour of the song, not the album. It's just that song played 14 times with 2 additional encore performances of it.

Probably has to do with how they’re splitting celebrating 3750. A few songs Night 1, then their classic intro track turned closer song Night 2. Kinda weird, kinda cool.

I just need to know what the deal is with pulling the flyer. I don’t want to wait on tickets since I expect Night 1 to sell out way quicker than Night 2 for each city.

Failure Will Follow is pretty long by both Acacia Strain standards and what a normal opener would play standards. So they probably had to advertise they were playing something else aside from FWF and Carbomb is pretty short. FWF+Carbomb will equal out to an average 40 minute set. Idk not defending it, just trying to think of the logic behind it.
