    Thank you.

Wish I could just have all the openers and no Atreyu but of course my date gets He Is Legend who I don't dislike but I'd much prefer the other 3

it is INCREDIBLY odd that they are doing Manchester NH and Bridgeport CT but not Mass or NY.

Nah, it's not really "replacing" a NYC date. It makes sense to hit some of the smaller markets with a bigger band before an album drop...

Yellowcard will probably do a proper headliner hitting some of the bigger markets this one skips after the album comes out. Bands use this strategy all the time (smaller, B-market runs ahead of the album release and hitting bigger markets when they have a proper release out).

Well ct is on the train line that could be why get ppl to travel not first time Bridgeport ct got something over nyc and mass

  10. i totally get NY people's frustration with CT but no NY but I feel like it is way more egregious and more common for tours to hit NYC and then no New England dates at all

was my biggest issue when I lived in Boston. No one wanted to make the drive

living in pvd i’m more likely to go to boston than ct. anxious is playing in hamden, but new haven is a surprisingly far distance away. running the 95 corridor east / west sucks. i haven’t gone to an nyc show in a long time. not really feasible

  14. Living in the Philly market is great for concerts. Almost everything comes through here plus easy access to NYC, asbury park, Atlantic City, etc

  15. it is really a crime in highway planning how much harder it is to get between Providence and CT vs Boston and either. It is easier/quicker to get to Boston than Providence from pretty much anywhere in CT except the parts between New London and the RI border. Basically you have to either do 84/395>6 or drive like 40m just to get onto 95...and then you have to be on 95. Just terrible. 44/6 should be a real highway

there’s a ton of NIMBYs in south county that have hindered high speed rail from pvd to nyc. sucks. rich people gotta rich.

it’s an hour door to door from pvd to the sinclair. it’s easily two hours from pvd to the space ballroom in new haven.

CT was way more hit or miss on shows when I was growing up there. Norwalk, Bridgeport, Hamden, and New Haven get way more shows now than before. Not the perfect solution for someone who grew up closer to Hartford like me, but the promoters closer to the shore picked up a lot of slack, and it's way busier now than before

  19. It's tough, man.

Speaking of, the Space is such a funny venue to me. It's in an industrial park that is otherwise completely empty at night except for the bar in the detached building in the middle of the square, which will have open mics during the shows at the Space (and also used to be the Space back in the day). The acts run the gamut, I've seen C-tier jam bands and Boris there. And when Boris was playing they played the Grateful Dead over the house speakers immediately before and after they went on which was extremely jarring.

When I saw a C-tier jam band there people were hitting balloons in the air and they kept hitting the ceiling fans which evidently hadn't been turned on or cleaned in years...dust would fall onto people every time the balloon hit the fan and no one cared

  20. yeah, I noticed this when I came back from school in Boston. the Space did not used to get the shows it does now. It's also pretty small for some of the bands it gets and has a pillar in the middle of the room like 6 feet from the stage lol

i went to the ballroom last year for the first time probably a decade. it changed, A LOT. i remember my buds playing shows there when they had the thrift store upstairs and the rainbow christmas lights in the basement. i wasn’t totally crazy about the ballroom tbh, it just felt kinda sterile. probably cause i don’t really know anyone down there.

they seem to pull in some incredible tour packages though. manic mark did a ton of work to grow that scene.

I’ll always love the Space. Saw Joyce Manor/Algernon Cadwallader/The World Is a Beautiful Place/Sirs there in 2012 and hung out with my wife for the first time at that show
