Woah im just reading on Reddit that super agent to the scene Dave Shapiro was the pilot that crashed in San Diego today.

I was seeing posts about him today and couldn’t figure out why. Sound Talent handles EVERYONE it seems.

 

Yeah, just checked out Sound Talent's roster - it's huge. I knew him back in the Agency Group days. His love for flying is so well known... this is crazy.

 

sounds like there were four passengers on the plane, Dave, Daniel Prada’s ex drummer and two others who names are being held until everyone can be contacted.

 

dave's roster included sum 41, pierce the veil, i prevail, set it off, memphis may fire, beartooth, story of the year, silverstein, parkway, amity, prada, august burns red, ton of others

 

I shouldn't complain, but 75 bucks for Ice Nine Kills and Dayseeker.. Wild to me. Wish Dayseeker was headlining.

Already been to several shows this year as well. I'm so broke..

 

Just got my tickets for My Chemical Romance show in Mexico City. Converting the price it was around $140 usd for pit tickets.

Some days I like living in a third world country.

 

I went to the Green Bay show. Not really a fan of theirs, just know the radio hits, but they were solid and having fun. No stage, just set up on a concrete patio in a park. Crowd just formed 360 around them. Tossed a ton of free shirts into the crowd. If you weren’t in the first “rows” of people it was very hard to see, but plenty of people just chilling and listening throughout the park. Lots of annoying self involved early 20 somethings with no concert etiquette

 

I know one of the family members of one of the victims. THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED but I am hearing that two members of Pierce the Veil were scheduled to be on board. They don't have the manifest yet, and as stated above, not all victims have been confirmed pending family notification. Let me again emphasize that I am hearing this second hand through a friend who is a family member of a yet-unannounced victim.

Just absolutely brutal all around.

 

Pierce the veil is on a tour right now that’s on the east coast. So not too sure how that could be true, but who knows.

Might all be Sound Talent employees, but nothing confirmed. Apparently it was very foggy in SD at the time of the crash. Im def hung up on this and will be following along - a new thread can probably be made for the accident.

 

I submitted the billboard article as a news tip so I'm sure Jason will post that here soon.

 

According to an article I read on top of it being foggy the plane clipped some power lines and that’s what caused it to crash

 

Fuck dude. I can't imagine those last few moments

 

I didnt want to speculate but I imagined this would have downstream effects on touring given the outsized impact on Sound Talent as a company.

 

Daaaaang, that's a shame, but totally understandable.
