Will pick up a last minute ticket to the Anthem show in DC. Stoked!

John // OC now, OH forever.

Kinda felt like the last Neck Deep record went unnoticed while TSSF had a Target exclusive variant for vinyl.

I thought they were equal too, neck deeps last headliner was 100% sold out, tssf wasn’t all sold out and they were at similar venues I thought.

They def are same tier. I expected a co-headliner too

I expected a similar billing to that TSSF/Joyce Manor tour that happened in 2022

PUP and Jeff Rosenstock are also doing The Anthem after both selling out 9:30 Club (which Gami also did), so definitely a level up that makes sense.

Gotta imagine Rams Head closing may help DC get more stuff in this scene. Soundstage isn’t much smaller than Rams, but the IMP funnel/high cap of Anthem must be appealing

TSSF hasn’t headlined in Portland since the Joyce tour. Both headliners for this album cycle have been shorter tours. Not super surprising considering how touring seems like a chore for the band more than something they actually enjoy doing.

I feel like TSSF & Neck Deep definitely are about the same size, at least in the USA. TSSF can headline slightly larger rooms in California (like The Shrine & Hollywood Palladium), but both typically play around 2000-3000 cap rooms in most markets.

Anyways I'm stoked, this is TSSF's first time headlining in Minnesota in since 2015 lol.

Ugh miss going to Tin Roof before shows at Rams Head. Everything good in power plant is closing

I would’ve bet money that Neck Deep is a little bigger. Seems like TSSF has retained the same fan base they’ve always had while Neck Deep has expanded and now has a dedicated following outside of the pop punk scene. Sort of like State Champs or Waterparks. People who mainly listen to Fall Out Boy or Blink find them and become fans without ever checking out other bands from that scene/era

I’m so stoked for that TSSF show to be outside in Philly in October

Where do I start with Origami Angel? Have never heard of them and then all of the sudden I've seen their name on this site the past three days (vinyl thread, this thread, etc).

Literally anything. Last three LPs are all fantastic as are their EPs.

a lot of people really love Somewhere City, but I think The Brightest Days is their best release

I suggest starting with The Brightest Days. It’s a quick listen, and I think also the most accessible. Everything they’ve released is good to great, but that’s the one that cemented them for me

    Love the sound of this.

Personally would anchor on Somewhere City and Gami Gang first, then decide whether to do the EPs or Brightest Days/Feeling Not Found. SC/GG help to ground everything else a bit.

Somewhere City is a landmark album of the last 5 years of emo that to me *is* the Origami Angel sound. Everything they do is good, but making that album on a shoestring budget early in their career is insanely impressive. And admittedly it’s been hard for me to love their more recent and commercially accessible stuff as much as it.

I think the Passion Pit thing is a DJ set of some kind though I could be wrong.
