I could not picture NFG or Bayside playing with Turnstile now. Honestly a good call

I’ve seen Teezo open for turnstile before and I would say that I would much prefer NFG/Bayside lol

    idk man

I've been trying to see Teezo for years so this is perfect.

    Things have changed.

Yeah, sure, but now Turnstile is a ~cool~ band in a way NFG simply is not.

Yeah I know. I’m just saying that I couldn’t see it now. Turnstile’s sound/scene/style is a bit different now, so pairing a indie/dreampop-fused hardcore band with a 2000’s pop punk band just feels weird to me

that’s what it comes down to in my eyes as well. Turnstile is thee “it” band in the scene right now and they want to have “cool”/up and coming artists surrounding them to appeal to a younger “cooler” demo.

EDIT: Brenden features on a NFG song, they’re toured together in the past, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if they open up at some point across a few shows or something

Would love if they ran that Turnstile/Turnover tour back. Highly doubt it would happen, especially not this year, and it certainly wouldn't be a coheadliner if they did.

That Metalfest lineup is nuts for one day. Insane lineup minus Kublai khan

Any rumors or running leads for people playing at All Things Go? Seemed like a good lineup last year.

I think Lucy Dacus is the only obvious one for ATG

Julien + Torres and Japanese Breakfast haven’t played DC on their recent cycles, so likely locked in.

Continuation of old school metal heads not understanding that seniority does not transfer over to billing placement in any given comments section. This time it's just Lorna and Cannibal on this instead of Knocked Loose and every other band on that Slayer date.

I’m convinced Lorna is a band that could fill the hockey arenas at this point. There wasn’t a show they headlined in the past three years that didn’t sell out almost instantly, and I think they didn’t get enough praise for the Mastodon/Gojira tour doing as well as it did in 2023. People have said there is a cannibal corpse fall headliner in that lineup

Completely agree… Lorna Shore is truly next level for that type of metal.

Easily they could. Like I think they're sticking to theaters at this point to just still have their "underground metal" cred, but like they could and absolutely should make the jump. Also if a Cannibal headliner is there I'll take a crack and say maybe Cannibal/Black Dahlia/Shadow of Intent/Vomit Forth.

So is the “Is for lovers” festival dead? The Ohio show last year was amazing.

I’d be down for a tour like that. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Lorna has a fall run with overlap between LTL and New England Metal & Hardcore fest. Nearly everyone is playing LTL on Thursday and then headed to Massachusetts two days later.
