Ice Nine Kills have upgraded from 3.5k venue to 23.5k venue here in Manchester

Damn, and they kinda throw Bloc Party's team under the bus as to why they're dropping off.
Blonde Redhead is filling in for the Forest Hills date, which is a huge step down imo. Luckily I hadn't bought a ticket yet. Maybe if the resale market dips below face I'll grab a ticket the day of.

I'm hoping for the same despite the venue being way too small for her and how she avoids NYC like the plague.

Yeah it was going to be a great double bill. Wonder how much drama there could have actually been, like..."You can't have your drums on a riser" type thing?

I like Blonde Redhead as support but definitely a huge difference between a classic band opening a tour and essentially a co-headliner. I wonder if Metric will run some more Fantasies dates in the fall.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Bloc Party have a member or two that’s known to be pretty hard to work with? If that’s the case I’m not super surprised they threw shade like that

that’s outrageous…you’re paying more for this fest than coachella, bonnaroo, or lolla.

Check this, the cheapest package to camp with your car and see Toro y Moi in Big Sur is $882

I get there's limited space but god damn I did not expect it to cost this much. I imagine the cabin option must be in the 2-3k range then

I don’t think Matt Tong likes Kele and Russell all that much but things have been pretty stable lineup wise since Louise joined (other than the previous bassist having visa issues or something which caused them to replace him with the guy from Skindred for a bit before the current bassist).

And I haven’t heard of any other bands talking shit about Bloc Party before today but granted I only like a couple tracks off the first two records.

Skindred as in the “nobody gets out alive” Skindred?

I remember they had the giant hype machine around them, like these guys are gonna be on top of the game in a few years, opening huge tours, posters, samplers at every concert and just nothing.

Skindreds last album hit no 2 in the UK and they regularly play to 2k a night here these days, even played Wembley Arena not long ago.

I saw Skindred open for Papa Roach and a long forgotten pop-punk band known as The F-Ups in 2005

Lmao oh man that is a name I haven't heard in like 20 years the f ups. I remember watching their warped tour set on mtv or something.
