There’s some buzz that Ozzfest might be returning as a touring fest. Doubt it would feature Ozzy in any way though.

That’s interesting. Maybe it’ll be like Mayhem Fest

I don’t know if it’s buzz as much as Kelly and Sharon had a conversation on her podcast about how it’s needed and people want it back, but they really struggled to make it work financially. It was basically an honest discussion about it launching a lot of bands and helping the genre.

When is Coachella’s lineup dropping today?

I still don't understand the apparent mainstream knocked loose success... vocals are some of the most grating in the scene. I've tried and tried again and just can't get into them. That high pitched scream is just not for me.

  14. Just a one-off for now. Probably an album release show too, but the album isn’t announced yet.

Indeed. What about them that makes them a genre outlier, in terms of popularity, is lost on me. They've always seemed on the less accessible side of hardcore due to the unique vocals so im alway just surprised at the numbers they pull.

Feel free to continue to enjoy.

I agree with you & I love them; Turnstile makes sense to me, KL doesn't at all. Different genre but even like, Pup are another that I enjoy but just don't understand how they're the ones transcending their genre to become as popular as they are with such an "inaccessible" sound.

What's the reason? I could be way off base but he has a lot of young fans. Is it parents standing up after astroworld and saying no way in hell are ya'll are going to Travis scott? Did his fanbase turn on him after that? How is a top 30 artist in the world with his name brand recognition failing to sell this badly?

Tonight's Chicago show is basically sold out, for the record. Just didn't need multiple dates at all.

I think in a genre like hardcore where the point is that it’s out of step with pop sensibilities, being accessible or inaccessible is irrelevant.

Good or bad, Bryan’s vocals are memorable and that helps them stick in people’s minds once they’re exposed to the band.

also, something that often gets overlooked but might actually be more important is the fact that Isaac Hale is one of the best songwriters/ riff makers right now in all of heavy music, not just metallic hardcore.
