I’d throw Rain City Drive in the upward momentum category since they had that song featuring Dayseeker go viral. Taylor Acorn has a small but ravenous fanbase but yeah I’d be curious to see how this is billed since I can’t foresee this coming close to last years barring some surprise upswing by some of the artists.

 

I think that tour got cancelled due to low sales

people in here said they knew as of last summer they were spending a large part of the year touring for the album

 

Sidenote but I don't think Thirty Seconds To Mars ever played a proper LA date on that tour they did AFI.

I mean, that’s an easily solved logistics issue. Get apparel produced in the country you’re going to. If you’re importing merchandise to sell, you have to account for customs just like all the other stuff that goes into conducting business internationally

 

Yeah. Canada has always done such, America should've done so too on country entry. Nothing to do with tariffs.
Would never have made any sense (financial or otherwise) to bring / import merch unless it was a tiny artist smuggling in a suitcase or so to play one or two shows.

 

This is probably why there are a ton of print shops in Cleveland, Detroit, and Buffalo who do great work. Bands often pick up merch instead of bringing it across the border.

 

The Used posted setlists for the tour on their story and it looks like it's just the album they're playing that night. I'm not surprised at all

 

I saw Good Charlotte years ago in Toronto and they had no merch. They said they mailed it in to the country but it got held up by customs. Not sure if it was mailed to the venue, a label or management contact or just someone they knew but seems to be an option that works if customs doesn’t take forever.

I remember a few years ago Alpha Wolf left a bunch of their merch in a hotel room in the US while they played Vancouver then picked it up when they got back (they also called out the venue for the merch cut being heinous as well).

 

I might be trippin but is it me or has the summer tour announcements been kinda low for this year so far?

 

Same thing they did the last time they did this with self titled and in love and death. They might have done one extra non album song just for an encore
