Could just be that one as Rockville is approaching / might've had an announce restriction until closer

There is exactly one person that wants to see Grandson and Jean Dawson open for Linkin Park and his name is Mike Shinoda lol

I think the band massively underestimated how fast the rock/metal/punk sounds are coming back into fashion here in the states. Could’ve gotten Turnstile or Chevelle or someone. I think I said it in here before, but the three artists Bad Omens brought out when they played with LP last year would themselves make good openers for LP.

The Linkin Park thing confuses me sometimes, because like Tobi Duncan was RIGHT there:

Not to mention recent Trash Boat sounds like them wanting to emulate peak LP but just not having "the sauce" as the kids say.

This, and I think most of the bands they would’ve liked to book are already booked for other tours and festivals. Hell, most of the bands I’d predict being on Sad Summer are playing most or all of Warped.

I actually really like that last Trash Boat album, it's my first one of theirs I've heard. Would rather Tobi stayed in Trash Boat tbh

I'll say that Heaven Can Wait is at least better than Don't You Feel Amazing?. But like, idk. Like I guess I see the perspective that if those were all you knew of Trash Boat then you don't have a reference for their potential they have. As someone who came onto the band between Nothing I Write You and Crown Shyness I've just been massively disappointed in what's came post Crown Shyness. There's definitely moments I like but overall, like I said just reminds me of peak Linkin Park without "the sauce". I'd recommend checking out Crown Shyness to see the massive departure they've taken.

Looks like the Summer School Tour might be returning this year?

I mean... that tour played at 2000 cap rooms last time. Am I out of touch or does that lineup seem ambitious if that's still the vibe?

My exact same thoughts. I feel the bands last year have a bigger draw

Yeah, I was well-versed with the four headliners but I feel like all of those bands had such a larger draw than what's rumored above.

Yeah, by the time last year's Summer School happened, Stand Atlantic & The Home Team were already established names who could regularly sell 500 tickets a night. Plus, Scene Queen, MagPark & Honey Revenge all had upward momentum.

I don't think any artist on this year's lineup has a realiable draw. I feel like Arrows in Action and Charlotte Sands had some hype a couple years ago, but I don't think they're selling tickets anywhere near as much as last years headliners.

Gene Simmons is doing something similar for his solo tour. You pay to be a roadie, essentially
