    Yikes, that's embarrassing for LP.

Turns out Chester was indeed the band

Who would’ve thought reviving your band with two new members (one being a Scientologist), one og member retiring from touring and dropping a lukewarm album would cause this to happen???

Honestly, the tip-off should have been Sick New World.

    Things have changed.

To be fair, no one cares about the lineup change outside of Emily. Most people would not clock the drummer being different at all.

LP should’ve also had stronger support on this first leg. Grandson just doesn’t do it for a lot of people. Meanwhile, Spiritbox is their opener for overseas shows and they had acts like Jean Dawson earlier.

Personally I’m going to wait until the week of the Raleigh show and bet I can get a floor ticket for cheap.

Yeah the support definitely didn’t help. A band or two from the popular modern metalcore scene or the early 2000’s nu metal scene could have drawn better. They overestimated being able to draw on their name value alone even with a drastically different lineup.

I've never seen a single person online – or in real life – say they listen to grandson, so it's puzzling.

I agree for the American dates they should of got much stronger and well known support, I am going to the wembley stadium gig and we got Spiritbox and JPEGmafia supporting and in Europe they got Architects as main support.. Mexico got AFI as sole support but no one cares about acts like Grandson or Jean Dawson.. I think it's a big fuck up from LP's end

Feel a BB/3DG tour could happen this year. They have toured before, I think 2019 or so.

Apparently the sad summer fest is really taking the year off cause of warped coming back. It’s weird right? It’s three dates and one is in November.

Well I think the tour has also kind have run its course with headliners. You can only do so many MP/The Maine with 3-4 other bands tours during the summer.

Yeah I feel like the next few years, Sad Summer will have to broaden their horizons a bit in terms of bands if they’re looking to stay afloat

I liked some of the lineup last year but couldn't convince any friends to go for the $90 price tag to see the same bands we've saw before. If they could bring on sponsors and hit that $50 price point I think more people would have interest. Give me journeys sad summer fest presented by monster energy featuring gold bond foot spray
